Easy Peanut Butter Roll Out Dog Treats
With basic ingredients like peanut butter and honey, these roll out cookies are a perfect dog treat to put together in a snap! Take out your favorite dog bone cookie cutters and get rolling!
- 2 1/2 c all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 c peanut butter No sugar free products!
- 1 c water
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 egg
preheat oven to 350F
In a large bowl stir in flour and baking powder. Add egg and mix well.
Add peanut butter, water, and honey. Stir well. This dough starts out stiff and sticky, so be patient. Make your KitchenAid do the work if you're not feeling it.
On a silpat or parchment paper, roll out the dough approx 1/4 inch thick. Go to town with your favorite cookie cutters. These treats spread very little so they don't need much space apart on the cookie sheet.
Transfer cookies and silpat to cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Once cool, leave as is or cover with royal icing.
Store covered in refrigerator for 4 weeks or frozen for up to 4 months.

Many sugar free or low-sugar peanut butters contain xylitol, an ingredient deadly to pets even in small amounts. All natural PB is your best bet!
Ask your veterinarian if you are concerned about the suitability of any of the ingredients in this recipe. Treats should always be considered a sometimes food versus an "all the time" food.
